BCIT conducts grant-funded and industry-sponsored applied research and development focused on solving industry\u2019s challenges. Bringing together multi-disciplinary teams from a wide range of research areas spanning technical and trades expertise, and including faculty, researchers, students, and industry partners, BCIT creates practical applied research solutions that can be transformed immediately into commercially relevant products, services and applications.<\/p>\n

Applied research at BCIT is guided by our research process<\/a>, policies and procedures<\/a>, with support and guidance provided by the Applied Research Liaison Office (ARLO). <\/a>\u00a0ARLO<\/strong> helps facilitate solutions to industry challenges, creates beneficial partnerships and practical learning opportunities for students, assists BCIT faculty and researchers with their research programs, and supports commercially relevant new technology products and applications.<\/p>\n
